Looking for a safe and supportive art class that will not only help you develop your artistic skills but inspire and empower you to create art more regularly in your life? Well then this is the class for you!

This summer sketchbook class will help you to see the world around you through the eyes of an artist. You will learn simple ways to creatively capture beautiful moments, unlock your creativity, improve your drawing skills, and provide a safe space to take risks all while boosting that mental health! Throughout the course, we’ll explore different materials and tools you can use to create, such as pencil, pens, paint, markers and more. I’ll help you develop various techniques for sketching, including shading, composition and more. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, this class is perfect for anyone looking to develop the habit of creating while improve their artistic abilities and develop their own unique style.

In this class, we will meet LIVE weekly (via zoom) over the course of 4 weeks for 1 hour sessions.  In each class, you will learn new skills each week, while also receiving weekly drawing challenges to be completed on your own. This class is the perfect opportunity to create, share and collaborate with a like minded artistic community that will leave you feeling empowered as an artist. If you are unable to attend any of the classes at the live date or time, each zoom will be recorded and then emailed back out to attendees afterwards. This way you are able to still participate at a time that works better for you!

Throughout this class we will explore a large variety of materials that can be used to create in your sketchbook. No materials are "required" for this class, however I had a list of recommended supplies that I will be using to demonstrate throughout the class.

• assortment of pencils + artist pens

• watercolor or gouache paints
